Preparing for Fall/ Winter in 5 Steps

I know everybody likes Fall/ Winter season, but I am a fan of Spring and Summer, so my heart is crying now that Fall is trully here in every shape and form. Days are getting shorter, the weather is rainy, windy and chilly. If you're like me, trying to survive this period,  I have a couple of  beauty/fashion and also lifestyle advices, how you can make these months pass by easier, not quicker though, and make the best out of it as possible.

When it comes to eyeshadows I always tend to splurge a little bit more and buy something that I know it won't dissappoint in therms of quality, and pigmentation. I love my Urban Decay Naked 1 palette, Too Faced palette etc, these brands are famous for the quality of their shadows. So I didn't know what to expect from the Maybelline palette, Maybelline being a drugstore brand.

The Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is on my wishlist for a long time now, but I never seem to find it in stock. Everybody raves about it and the fact that is out of stock must approve that.

This post will be a little bit of a shout out and a FOTD. The highlight of todays makeup is definitely the foundation that I used. The Estee Lauder Double Wear is one of the best foundations I used when it comes to longevity and resisting the heat on a hot summer day. I find it to be very similar to the Giorgio Amani Lasting Silk. The formula, the texture and the finish that it gives is very comparable.

I consider myself pretty boring when it comes to nails. I tend to wear the classic colors such as a nude, red , a dark navy and a ballerina pink. Of course I have some other fun colors in my collections, but I rarely venture out and use them.

The Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet  lipstick collection has been around for quite a while now and I think we have to agree that the colors, the formula and the price of these is amazing. They are creamy, light textured, opaque, and long lasting. They feel really comfortable on the lips all throughout the day.

We all tend to jump on the bandwagon where we buy new products and then the old ones get two steps back in our makeup drawer. I am guilty of buying constantly new stuff and then just use them and forget about all the other ones. I never get excited when I buy blushes or, lets say cheek products in general, but for these two I am beyond excited now, because they are truly beautiful products and they will really complete my  makeup collection.
