Pai Skincare:Perfect Balance Blemish Serum with Copaiba&Zinc

All my teenage and adult life I had acne, it wasn't as bad but I always had the monthly breakouts I had to fight with, or the ones caused by stress or food like milk, honey and chocolate.

Bits from Chanel Beauty

I wish I would say I got a Chanel handbag, but I stick to Chanel makeup for now. That is almost equally as satisfying..almost..although buying a whole collection from Chanel makeup can be as expensive as half of a bag if I think about it.

New in:Skincare,Makeup and body basics| Chanel, Pai Skincare, L'oreal

Long time no blogpost, but I would explain that by saying I was uninspired with everything that has to do with beauty, my life was hectic and I felt that a day consists of just 10hours instead of 24 so weeks went by without me writing any word around here. This happens to everybody once in a while but now I have a haul for you, a bit of skincare, makeup and just all around basics.

Estelle &Thild Biodefense Multi-Nutrient Youth Oil First Impressions

I have the impression that I finish up my face oils way faster than any other skincare product. I am not sure why but I constantly find myself needing to buy another one. Sometimes quite hard to choose which one, because there are so many products on the market, with some really good marketing strategy trying to sell you their product as the best one, and also my skin is changing so I don't really know what skin problem to target.

Current lip products in the rotation:Givenchy, YSL, MAC, Too Faced, Anastasia Beverly Hills

As I was swatching my lip products I was laughing because I always say I am a lip gloss type of girl instead of a lipstick girl, yet you will see that in this post I will feature only one gloss, and five lipsticks.I guess I should just say I am a lipstick girl next time somebody asks me.

My favorite shampoo brand and new hair care routine: Alterna, Oribe,Sebastian, Bumble and Bumble

Funnily enough I decided to write about my new hair care routine just when I made an order for the OUAI Wave Spray.Funny because it means I will have a new product to add to my routine, but since I am currently away from home, I will not recieve it untill the middle of September, so it makes no sense to wait for it. And if the product is as good as everybody says it is, then it deserves its own review.

As mentioned in the title, I want to talk about my favorite shampoo brand: Alterna. I have been an avid user of their shampoos, my favorites being the Bamboo Volume and the Shine one, but for some reason I decided to try out other brands like Redken,Aussie, Kerastase. Decision I will never make again, because I always learn that there is no brand like Alterna when it comes to shampoos. Why I say that? A little background on my hair: I have oily, sensitive scalp, that on top suffers from eczema. Sad but true, I am suffering from eczema for around 10 years now, therefore I have to use shampoos that are great for sensitive scalp and don't agravate my eczema. This shampoo, or Alterna shampoos in general are doing wonders for my hair. I rave about them because they are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates(I actually have no idea what this is)and synthetic colors. This particular one, the Abundant Volume Shampoo contains ingredients like bamboo extract and maca root which energizes the hair, makes it fuller, shinier, nourished and overall healthier and more managable. I also find that I don't have an oily scalp anymore.I can wash my hair once a week without any problems. Now if these are not good enough reasons to try out the brand I don't know what would be.

As you can see I purchased now the 503 ml size, because I just love it that much, and this is all I want to use from now on, no more venturing out in the shampoo department.

As my routine goes, after I wash my hair I use a conditioner, the one I have currently is just a cheap drugstore one from Pantene. One thing about me: I don't believe in conditioners. I don't have the time or the patience for them.I used expensive conditioners, and I got to the conclusion that they do pretty much nothing if they are washed off after 5 second of application, so I choose not to spend money on them. They are only good to detangle my hair, that's it.

I do like however to invest in good hair oils, treatments, leave in conditioners and masks. The ones I currently have with me are the Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil, Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil, Sebastian Potion 9 and the good old coconut oil. All of these three products are basically step 3 in my routine that is leave-in conditioners and treatments. I start with the Bumble and Bumble when my hair is damp/towel dry, then I start drying it a bit so I can use my Tangle Teezer to detangle and brush through my hair, then I follow it up with the Oribe and Potion 9, just a pump of each mixed in the palm of my hand applying it just to the ends of the hair, then continue to completely dry my hair. Tip: I never brush my hair while wet or towel dry. I only brush it when its already half dry, this way I don't cause breakage, the hair is prone to break while being wet.

As you would expect from a brand like Oribe the product is amazing, smells amazing and it is really effective in nourishing your hair, leaving it shiny and with no split ends. If you are looking for a great hair oil, check this out. Pricey but worth the money.
Sebastian Potion 9
I have this is the travel size, since I am traveling as I mentioned above, but I had this in the bigger size aswell. I find that the best way to use this product is to warm it up in the palm of your hands and apply it just to the ends of your hair. It nourishes the hair, but it also adds texture to it.
Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Protective Primer
The newest addition to my collection, but with first use I instantly fell in love with it. It smells amazing and makes the hair managable, tangle free, shiny and it protects it from the heat and UV damage.

Two of my favorite hair masks are the Sebastian Penetraitt and coconut oil.I don't have my Sebastian mask with me now, but I do have a jar of coconut oil. Both of these products do wonders for your hair, I honestly cannot recommend any other masks for you that give better results. I use almost every single time one of these masks. The coconut oil I apply before, overnight or at least one hour before washing my hair, and the Sebastian I apply after washing my hair, and let it stay for at least half an hour or even hours if I have time.

That is my current hair care routine, and I cannot be more satisfied with it. I have shiny, healthy and split ends free hair.
I highly recommend you try out the Alterna shampoos, I cannot rave enough about them, I always suggest them to everybody who asks my advice regarding shampoos.

Summer Essentials| High End| Alterna,HudaBeauty, MAC, Bumble&Bublme

The meaning of the word essential is something fundamentally important or necessary. I am sure for somebody that is not into makeup wouldn't understand how a makeup item can be fundamentally on a daily basis, but for us who live and breathe for beauty this is just a normal feeling.

Current Beauty Wishlist: OUAI Hair Care, Chanel Skin Care, Tom Ford, By Terry

I always add or take new products from my wishlist, there are several products on my radar all the time.Sometimes I do end up buying them, sometimes I forget about them, because either I find something better, either they don't seem that much interesting or special anymore. This time though I have brands on my list, brands who's overall collection I find really outstanding and different from the other similar brands.

These are mostly brands I didn't try out before, or tried just a few products from them.

Skincare Week Announcement

I have been planning to review my skincare products for quite a while now, and since I have to review almost all of them I figured the best idea is to write about the different product catogories every day, and then just call it Skincare Week. Instead of making a huge blogpost about all the products I use curently I rather divide them into smaller posts where I can properly talk about each type of product.

My Favorite Instagram Accounts| Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle, Fitness

Instagram is the biggest motivational social network if you ask me and for a good reason. People are posting professionally made photos of food, travel places, clothing, makeup etc.  I find myself checking my instagram feed a couple of times a day, and every time I spend at least 5 minutes scrolling and scrolling down the pictures.
Why do I like it that much? My answer is because it gets me inspired, it gets me motivated. Whether I am procastinating to work out, or I am in the mood to cook/bake something and I don't know what, or I am in a "What should I wear today?" problem, Instagram will help me out in any situation.

Used up beauty products

I've used up quite a lot of products in the last few weeks. There are some face, body and haircare bits.
Some of them I will repurchase, and others I will not. Let's see what goes in my bin:

Hair

Batiste Dry shampoo: I will be repurchasing this because I can't live without it. It is my favorite dry shampoo brand for sure.
Sebastian Potion 9 styling treatment: this product lasted me for at lest two years with weekly use. This is a gel styling treatment, that transforms into an oil once you warm it up in the palm of your hand, which is the way I recommend using it.  I really enjoyed using this product, it worked great in conjunction with the Moroccanoil hair treatment or with the Oribe Gold Lust nourishing hair oil. For now, I will not repurchase this, because I want to try out some other hair treatments, but it is a good product, and I do recommend it.
Living Proof restore mask treatment: I didn't like this product,it took me a good year to finish it up.I will not repurchase.
Redken hair cleansing cream shampoo: i used this shampoo every other time I washed my hair, to get rid of the build up on the hair and scalp. It did a decent job, but I will not repurchase it.

Skin
The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil: this is a really good makeup remover oil. It has a very pleasent, relaxing scent, and removes makeup effortlessly, but the packaging is awful. The oil is leaking on the sides and makes an oily mess around itself. Will not repurchase.
Bioderma Purifying cleansing foaming gel: I use this with my Clarisonic and I find it to be the best product for that purpose. I have a back up of this product already.
REN 3 in 1 cleansing water: I don't like this product, it doesn't remove the makeup, and I also don't like the scent of it. I used it on days I didn't wear any makeup, just to wipe of the dirt at the end of the day from the skin.

Body
Aromatheraphy Associates Revive Morning bath and shower oil: this was a gift with purchase, and although I enjoyed using it and it can really help you to wake up and feel energized in the morning, I don't think I will purchase this any time soon.
Lastly, the L'occitane Almond shower oil is a body product I will deffinitely repurchase, and in the bigger size.Lovely product to use at the end of the day, the scent is really pleasent, and the product is really hydrating and feels nice on the skin.

What products did you use up?
