3 DIY Masks using Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is such a versatile multitasker product. It can be used in the kitchen but it  deserves a Gold medal in the beauty industry aswell. I am all about masks in genaral, I use a face mask, and hair mask every single week once or twice. I feel that masks really are THE key product to a healthy looking skin and hair.
In the colder months when the skin and the hair is exposed to the cold/dry air, it tends to suffer from dryness, and it becomes itchy and flaky. Trying to help my hair and skin feel like normal, I came up with 3 different types of masks, one for each of these areas: hair, face, and also hands, that will work wonders and really help.
The main ingredient to all of these 3 masks is the coconul oil. Coconut oil is know to be used in many natural beauty products, because it's a natural moisturizer for the skin and it can penetrate hair better than other type of oils. It has antibacterial and antifungal benefits aswell.

Hair mask: 1Tbsp  of melted *room temperature* coconut oil, one Tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbsp of honey. Mix all these ingredients together and massage it onto your skalp and all throughout your hairlenght. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes then wash it out really good. The coconut oil will hydrate the hair, the apple cider vinegar will give amazing shine to your hair, and lastly the honey will attract moisture and will encourage hair growth.

Facemask: 1 Tbsp of melted coconut oil, 1 Tbsp grind coffee, half of banana mashed. This mask will hydrate, scrub and rejuvenate the skin making it glowy and youthful looking. Leave it on untill the skin absorbed the oil and the banana juice and the coffee grinds feel dry and tight on the skin.

Handmask: 1 Tbsp coconut oil, 1 Tbsp sourcream, a couple of drops of  Vitamin E oil. This is one of my  favorite method to pamper my hands, these 3 ingredients will make your skin feel baby soft.

Of course, there are hundreds of other ways to use coconut oil in masks, these are just 3 of my ideas that really work for me and wanted to share with you all!
