As my last post of my Drugstore themed week I will share my favorites for each category.Some products I still own some I already used up, but if I were to name a favorite in that category I would choose these.

My drugstore wishlist mostly consists of my favorite Makeup Artists recommendations. They like and use these products for years now, so they must be really good, therefore I would like to try them out aswell.

Face of the day using drugstore products #5

FOTD using mostly drugstore products. I say mostly because currently I don't own any drugstore foundation or mascara. I do plan on purchasing some but for now I had to replace them with my high end ones.

5 Products I would rather buy Drugstore than Luxury #4

Drugstore products can have the same quality as the luxury ones, sometimes just the packaging makes the difference. In my opinion, there are some type of makeup products that simply do not worth to splurge on. I would rather buy them from the drugstore, and splurge on the items that really worth paying the extra money for.

Over  all these years of reading blogs and watching youtube  I have seen a couple of products pop up as favorites in many many girls posts and videos. They raved about them for months or even years. Of course, not every product will suit everybody, or end up in everybody's favorites, because we all have different opinions, expectations regarding makeup products.

Because this post is so short I thought I share with you an outfit I wore these days. I am taking advantage of the Sunny days, while they last, so I wore a black leather jacket with a giant HM scarf from last years collection. This look is simple, yet it has some intersting details such as my new boots. I love animal printed shoes/boots in this case, or even clothing items, it might be because otherwise my taste for clothing would be quite boring for some of you, basically consisting of black, camel, or grey colored clothing most of the time.

KIKO Make up Haul

KIKO is a make up brand from Milano, Italy. They are know to have a huuuge variety of make up products, that are super affordable with a great quality, and they also have skincare items such as make up removers, masks, face creams etc.
I was already familiar with the brand and previously tried a couple of their products, so it wasn't all new to me. Because I enjoyed using their products in the past I was curious about some of their new-ish releases. Or new to me because I don't have a KIKO store next to me.

Budget Buy |Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

I initially bought this soap because it promisses to help with oily- problematic skin and also with eczema. So I figured I will be using this in the morning, as my morning face wash, but I didn't liked it, it didn't really do anything that it promisses. My cleansing routine

Taking the makeup off and cleansing your skin thoughrily must be a step you should never skip. I make sure I never go to sleep with my makeup on.Never. I have quite a  problematic skin, so I made a RULE to I take those extra minutes and cleanse my face.

The one and only haul,  where my wallet is crying but ..oh well. 

Did you notice, that ironically we all tend to run out of our shampoo, conditioner, skincare *you name it * products all at the same time, so a re-purchase of those products is just necesarry? Well this is exactly what happened.

Daytime appropriate contouring routine

Contouring the face is my favorite part when it comes to makeup.When its done properly it can make all the difference. My favorite way to contour is first with a cream product, and then with a powder product to set everything in place.

Products I hit pan on

I think we will all agree that if we hit pan on an eyeshadow or some sort of face powder, it means they were used and loved by us. Otherwise, they would be in the back of our make up drawers, long forgotten by us. Am I right?

These are some needed and some craved products but oh well we beauty addicts always find a way to justify why we buy new products. We want them or need them...the result is the same at the end, we have to own them.

My favorite beauty S.O.S. tips to help you survive the Winter dryness

This Winter really made me suffer from dryness. I never had skin so dry before.I am talking dry hands, lips, and basically dryness all over my body. I have been trying out everything that I can to get it back to normal and so far these tips are what made my skin feel like normal again.

1.If you have that extra 10 minutes..take your hand cream to the next level. Have you ever tried moisturizing gloves before? They are basically normal gloves that are ment to be used when you apply your handcream. They work better when used overnight. A Spa for your hands. Extra tip: use some kind of essencial oil with your moisturizer, it will have better results.

2. I don't know about you, but my lips are DRY this Winter. Don't know what happened but all I can say that I cannot wait this Winter to be over. My lips are dry and flaky and the only thing that helps me is to use a mild lip scrub every other day, to get rid of the dry flaky skin, and then using a heavy lip balm to create a tick layer of protection. I have a DIY home made lip scrub recipe that is basically fine sugar mixed with honey and maybe a couple of drops of some essential oil to make it more spa-like.The lip balm I have been using is the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour lip balm.

3. Dry patches on the face and body: the answer is shea butter. Shea butter is the only thing that helps me.The higher prerentage of shea butter the better.  Just apply it on the areas where you need it and it will do its magic.It is the best hydrating solution that I know of. My favorite body butter is from L'occitane,but many brands do them like The Body Shop, Dove, Jergens, etc. 

Extra tips: 

1.Wear gloves and hats when you are out and about, it will make the difference. It will protect your hair, your scalp, and hands.

2.When taking a shower or a bath, use bath oils/shower oils, this way you will moisturize your skin in an extra way. Loccitane Almond oil shower oil is my Favorite.

3.Drink water, and drink plenty of it. It can be a hot tea, doesn't matter, we need to hydrate ourselves even in Winter.

4.Use a hydrating face mask lets say two times a week, also a hair mask at least every other time you wash your hair. If you don't have time during the day, then use one that is ment to be used overnight like the Origins Drink Up Intense moisturizer mask, or a pre-wash hair mask like the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer.

January Favorites

Hello everyone! I actually thought I din't had any outstaing favorite products this month but when I looked thru my makeup drawers I remembered that there are some really good products that I discovered in the last month.

Daytime soft eye look with a pop of color

The main focus of this look are deffinitely the eyes. I tried to create a soft daytime appropriate eye look using some eyeshadows I raved about recently, and for fun I used some color just to make it more interesting.

There is no doubt that the Loreal L'Ombre Pure eyeshadows are some of my favorite eyeshadow as of late and I reach for them a lot ever since I got them.

Get that Summer Glow in the Winter

We can rock glowy and healthy looking skin all year round. That healthy/ glowy look is much more easier to achieve in the Summer time whit the help of the Sun, but how can we achieve that in the Winter aswell? Just a couple of easy steps to follow, and you can have that same effect.

Changes in my makeup routine that make the difference

You know that period when you just have a "thing" for a couple of products, or routine and you just can't seem to change things up a little bit? Well that happens to me all the time. Oh how I love these eyeshadows! These are out on the market for a while now but I never seemed to be curious about them for some reason! How late to the game I am ! They are the bomb eyeshadows when it comes to drugstore formulas, and they exceed even some higher end ones aswell.

Ren Radiance Skincare Regim

I would like to call myself pretty  lucky because I was still awake when I received the mail from SpaceNK that their SALE  just started. I always wanted to try out some Ren skincare products especially this radiance renewal mask. So when I spotted this set without thinking too much I added it into my shopping basket and checked out. Good that I did, because it was sold out in the next morning.

Products I used up recently

I am proud of myself : I used up two foundations , skin care products, a mascara,nail polishes,  quite a lot of products. But that just means one thing, with the New Year ahead of us, new brands comming out, new collections and technologies, I can make a wishlist without feeling guilty: I have some shopping to do! Well that is exciting!

Easy eye look using the Urban Decay Naked 1

I promissed a face of the day using the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette. I chose to use this palette because I think that even if you don't own this exact palette, the shades are so easy to replace. Basically everybody has a gold, a deep brown and a black eyeshadow. So lets get started with the steps.

December Favorites

December was all about relaxing and just spending some extra time at home. The fact that the weather became significantly colder, could be the main the reason for this. I enjoyed taking long baths, doing my nails, and taking extra care of my skin.

I am sure you already heard about the comparison between the Sleek blush inRosegold and the Nars Orgasm blush.  I don't own the Nars one, so I can't give my thoughts on that, but I think this Sleek blush worth mentioning.

Daily makeup organization

I am a very organized person, at least I try my best to be one. So when I started working a few months ago, and I had only 10 minutes to get ready in the morning and do my makeup it was a real struggle for me to leave my makeup table clean and not in a messy state.

Thoughts on my setting powders

Using a setting powder, especially one that controls the oils break thru is a must step for me. I have combination to oily skin.Though I use foundations that are targeted for my oily skintype, that solely is not enough to get me thru a minimum of 12 hour wear of makeup, so I do need the help of setting powders.

When going to the gym you need to have some basic beauty products in your bag. And I am not talking about foundation and mascara, I am talking about the essentials that everybody needs to have in their gym bag.

With the end of November already here, I would advise everybody to start thinking about the presents they want to get for their loved ones. We tend to leave things at the last minute and then we rush getting the presents for everybody. But there is still enough time and I hope my ideas will help some of you out.

I started using Biotin two years ago. (By using I mean that once a year I buy a jar that contains 90caps that is enough for 3 months, 1 cap per day is enough) I heard many people saying that this will help your hair grow faster and longer, it will help your nails be stronger aswell and help your skin be nicer. I heard that it even helps with eczema ( which I do have). So of course, when something promisses longer,  healthier hair, fuller eyelashes and eyebrows,  stronger nails, for a beauty addict is a must to try out.

I am not going or trying to review the features of this pochette or give a depth review about its details. I am sure there are tons of people who are better describing designer pieces, so I leave it to them. But I am going to share my thoughts and the practicality of this wonderful little pochette.

Face masks are one of those skincare products that can get really expensive, and I don't think they always worth that price tag. Of course I tried some expensive masks, like the Glamglow facemasks, and I did actually enjoy them a lot. But they were only enough for a couple of uses, so I am not sure if I will repurchase them.

The lip combo as of late

There is no doubt that I will rock this combo all fall/winter long. I am quite anxious when wearing  anything other than a nude lip, just because I feel like I should constantly check if the lipstick is still on my actual lip where it should be and not on my teeth or maybe smeared unevenly around my lip line.

This foundation is one of the best ones out of all that I have tried so far,in therms of finish, longevity and color match this is my nr. 1. This is suitable for normal to combination oily skintypes. I am not sure how it would behave on a dry skin.

I made a dent in my bankaccount and I don't regret it. Is that even healthy to say? I love everything I got and theytrully make me feel happy. Do you feel that beauty products make you happy?

Healthy glowy skin, fake lashes and matt lips

I wanted to create for today an effortless looking skin, but we alreeady know that cheating a no makeup makeup look is actually harder that we think, and it requires as much product as we would use for a usual type of look.The end result is a  perfected skin, that is looking healthy, glowy in the right areas and mattyfied where it should be. A well rested looking undereye area, of course no signs of dark circles. Cheating a big eye with some fake lashes, and matt lips to reate some balance.

That highlighting touch to your makeup

Illuminators/highlighters can change the whole makeup. Adding just this little, final touch to your makeup will glam things up a bit and you will be more likely to get some compliments. Of course, you will know why, but others will just wonder what could be your secret to that gorgeous looking makeup.

My haircare routine

I am happy with my haircare routine. I found some products that I really like, and repurchased many times so far, such as the Alterna shampoos and the Morroccanoil. HG for me.

I am only 25, so I don't really feel the need to use these types of masks, but since I had it, why not try it and write my thoughts on it. This is quite an expensive product (55£) so If you are thinking of getting it, I hope my review helps you out wether to purchase it or not.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

Funny I haven't mentioned them in a blog post earlier, because they are one of my staple beauty products. I love Batiste. I reach for it on a weekly basis,it helps getting me thru the weekdays, when I don't have time or energy to wash my hair and style it.

Kiehl's is a well know brand for their skincare products. I haven't heard one bad thing about this brand. And my review will be a positive one aswell.

 Perfumes  are the most personal beauty item we could own. The perfume that you wear, can trully define your personality and character. A musky deep scent can be worn by a strong women, a unisex perfume is perfect for the modern women, a sweet candy type of perfume is much likely to be worn by a younger person. Also fresh scents are perfect for summer, deep sweet scents for winter or evening time.

Fall makeup

Since everybody is doing some sort of fall makeup look I wanted to do one aswell. In my last post I hauled an eyeshadow pencil from Rimmel London, and after trying it I was impressed by the staying power and the creaminess of it. It is just so easy to use.

In and out beauty products| October

I am currently trying to use up all of my skincare samples so I can buy some full sized products and really have a proper skincare routine. A while back when I made a huge purchase from Spacenk I got a 25 product goodie bag that included a lot of skincare items along with makeup, and since then I have been testing them out.

Makeup when you are sick

I have been feeling sick over these past few days, so I have been staying home basically the whole day. You know that feeeling, when you are sick, you feel like doing nothing but drinking a hot tea, taking your medicine and browsing your TV or watching Youtube videos. I just descriped my last few days.
