Get that Summer Glow in the Winter

We can rock glowy and healthy looking skin all year round. That healthy/ glowy look is much more easier to achieve in the Summer time whit the help of the Sun, but how can we achieve that in the Winter aswell? Just a couple of easy steps to follow, and you can have that same effect.

1.Prep your skin : exfoliate, use a face mask then moisturize. Exfoliating your skin is a must step.We have to get rid of the dead skin, this way we create a smooth  and even skin surface.  Following up with a radiance mask, or  with. hydrating mask just to give that extra boost to the skin. My favorite ones are from Alpha -H Liquid gold mask, or the Ren Radiance Renewal Mask. Then moisturize, and moisturize. Depending on your skin, if it is dehydrated or oily, apply as many layers of moisturizer you may need.

2.Use some sort of radiance primer like the Bourjois Happy Light Louminous Serum primer, Guerlain Meteorites Perles primer or Laura Mercier Radiance primer then apply a  foundation that also has a radiant, glowy, velvety finish like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, Dior Star foundation, Nars Sheer Glow..Basically what we don't want is our face to look flat and all matt. If you have an oily
T- zone, feel free to use a mattifying powder to set your foundation, but just in the T-zone area. Leave the cheeks and the rest of the face powder-less.

3.Use a cream highligher. My favorite being the Kevin Aucoin Candlelight cream highlighter from the nr 4 Creamy Glow Duo or  Benefits High Beam illuminator. Cream being the key here. Cream products look more natural on the skin.  For oily skin girls,  cream formulas may not be as long lasting as a powder formula, but we reachieve that glow in a matter of hours anyway. The beauty of having oily skin....or not...

These are some basic, oh-so easy steps that everyone can follow no matter our age, skintype or season.

Some extra tips
~Armani and Burberry have some amazing fluid highlighters that you can mix with your foundation, use alone, as a base, or on top of the foundation as highlighters.
~ use a serum that contains Vitamin C, vitamin c is known for its brightening befenits
~ Use finishing -not setting powders -such as the Guerlain Meteorites Perles or the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders
~Clarins and Elemis have some radiance/illuminating balms that can be used as primers and moisturizers in one
